The target group is families living in resettlement colonies and slum clusters. Since the cleanliness standards in such places are very poor, our endeavor is to motivate families to inculcate habits of maintaining good personal hygiene and keeping their homes and neighborhood clean and green. Some of the habits we try to inculcate are: keeping houses clean, washing hands before eating, collecting garbage in bins at home and disposing of garbage in municipal bins/garbage dumps, using disposable garbage bags, keeping locality lanes and bylanes clean and garbage-free, keeping fresh air plants at home, etc.
To motivate people to adhere to these concepts, we organize monthly ‘Cleanest Home Competition’. Families participate enthusiastically in this competition.
